Toyota launched the electric version of the Pixis Van in Japan on February 2, 2026. The small commercial vehicle aims to provide quiet and smooth electric movement while maintaining ease of loading and load capacity.

The battery system is based on joint development by Suzuki, Daihatsu and Toyota. The kei vehicle production experience of the first two companies was combined with Toyota's electrification technology; CJPT also participated in planning features suitable for last-mile transportation.

Toyota states that small commercial vehicles make up about 60 percent of Japan's commercial fleet; The reference period is September 2025. The 257 kilometer range announced for the Pixis Van BEV depends on specific test conditions. The announcement addresses the business use of the kei class, which is unique to Japan.
