Mazda introduced its new color called Navy Blue Mica on January 9, 2026. The brand's new CX-5 was announced as the first model to use this paint option; The color was developed from Deep Crystal Blue Mica.
The design team aims for strong saturation in the highlights and deep appearance in the shadows. Different types of mica particles were placed horizontally to make the body lines and surface details stand out in different weather conditions.
Mazda states that it has offered more than 150 colors with blue in its name throughout its history. The new paint announcement is a development step in this design history; It does not mean any change in mechanical performance. Undisclosed sales details regarding the color distribution to countries and equipment are not added.
