BMW Group announced changes to organization and product planning on Capital Markets Day 2026. The company plans to adapt its model family more closely to regional customer preferences and re-evaluate power system options in different markets.

Simplifying the management structure by 20 percent and accelerating development processes with artificial intelligence applications are among the parts of the program. BMW also reports that it will consider some additional decisions by spring 2027. Not all of the announced measures were completed on the same date.

In the automotive segment, an EBIT margin of 3–5 percent is targeted for 2028. There is also an expectation of a return to the 8-10 percent range at the beginning of the next decade. These ratios are not actual financial results, but the company's own medium-term goals.
