BMW Group's Debrecen factory announced that it produced the 50 thousandth iX3. The new facility in Hungary undertakes the assembly of the first mass production model of the Neue Klasse family. The announcement confirms a production threshold for the number of vehicles completed.
The company reports that it started the second shift in February 2026. BMW explains this step as an increase in production in response to orders. The factory is positioned as the place where the new production structure is implemented along with the new vehicle architecture.
The initial experiences in Debrecen are being transferred to other facilities. A common database and digital tools are used to prevent possible quality deviations from recurring in subsequent production starts. BMW explains this information sharing as part of the preparation for model renewals planned by the end of 2027.
