Volkswagen has started German pre-sales of the 125 kW full hybrid option for Golf and T-Roc. The system offers 170 hp total power. In the announcement, prices starting from 41,400 euros for Golf R-Line and 44,470 euros for T-Roc Style were announced.

The new layout combines a 1.5 TSI evo2 petrol engine, two electric machines and a 1.6 kWh gross high-voltage battery. The battery is located in the rear floor of the vehicle; It stores energy through recycling and the operation of the gasoline engine with the generator.

No external charging cable required. The electric motor can move the vehicle alone or support the gasoline engine at low speed and takeoff. Since electric drive is limited to short phases, the system does not offer the same operating pattern as the long electric range of the plug-in hybrid.
