Honda R&D announced the on-the-go wireless charging infrastructure developed with Taisei and Taisei Rotec on October 5, 2026. The system, which uses magnetic coupling, aims to transfer energy between the transmitters on the ground and the receiver in the vehicle.

Honda is developing high power density receiver and transmitter units, Taisei is developing fast-response direct current supply, and Taisei Rotec is developing equipment placement on pavement. Structural and electrical verifications were conducted on the Satte test track.

Demonstration trials on public roads are planned starting in Japan's fiscal year 2027. The first practical application target is logistics and transportation; The road structure that can carry large commercial vehicle loads is critical. News describes research progress; It does not say that the system is available for use on all roads today.
