Marco Wittmann finished the 2026 DTM season, which ended in Hockenheim, in third place. Racing in the number 11 BMW M4 GT3 EVO in Schaeffler colours, the driver finished third and seventh in the two races of the final weekend.
He achieved two wins and five podium finishes in 16 races throughout the season. Wittmann's total reached 198 points. The BMW statement also includes the driver's wins at the Nürburgring and Sachsenring in the season evaluation.
Schubert Motorsport finished third in the teams' standings with 284 points. On the same weekend, the first season of the ADAC BMW M2 Cup was completed and Michael Schrey became the champion. The news is based on the actual results in the manufacturer's post-race statement.
