Opel confirmed its plan to establish a full-scale vehicle production facility in Algeria during the German-Algerian Economic Forum in Berlin. The project follows the country's approach of creating local production for its own market.
Opel Automobile GmbH and AGM Holding Company SpA also signed a memorandum of understanding to localize engine production. This line is intended to be included in the industrial structure planned by Opel in Algeria.
The company expects the two initiatives to support new investment opportunities throughout the supply chain and the country's automotive ecosystem. The engine line statement is based on an agreement of intent; It is not presented as a completed production start.
