Peugeot has changed the commercial power names of its rechargeable hybrid models. The company explains that it has already applied the GTR21 combined power homologation approach to its existing vehicles, which it associates with the future Euro 7 framework.

The certified combined power of the 3008 and 5008 is reported as 225 hp, while the 408 is rated at 240 hp. These values are transferred to new trade names: 3008 and 5008 Plug-In Hybrid 225, 408 Plug-In Hybrid 240.

According to the statement, there are no changes to the engines or other technical components; performance, consumption and emissions remain the same. Therefore, the power change in the name stems from the measurement and certification method conveyed by Peugeot.
