Volkswagen announced that ID.4, ID.5 and ID.7 can be ordered with the new software generation. The March announcement also states that the successor to the ID.3 will be called ID.3 Neo and will be introduced in mid-April.
The update package includes advanced Travel Assist, traffic light recognition and one-pedal driving that recovers until the vehicle stops. The application store in the Innovision infotainment system allows the addition of digital services compatible with the vehicle.
Digital key comes as option; A compatible phone or smart watch can be used to access the vehicle. Volkswagen also explains the physical buttons on the steering wheel in future ID models. The announcement of the functions for this order program does not mean that all old vehicles will automatically receive the same equipment and services.
