BMW gathers the electric and internal combustion members of the new 3 Series family within the same design framework. The new i3 will initially be offered in two fully electric versions. 48 volt mild hybrid technology is used in gasoline options.
M350 xDrive was announced as the inline six-cylinder option of the M Performance family. A plug-in hybrid version is planned to be added next year. Design differences between power systems are limited to specific details, according to the brand's statement.
The extended wheelbase and short overhangs determine the proportions of the new sedan. 19-21 inch wheels are announced for the electric i3 and 18-20 inch wheels for the internal combustion models. M Sport packages and Individual colors, which are planned to be expanded throughout 2027, constitute the personalization options.
